New Hispanic Churches Planned for Northwest in 2011

This next year is looking to be a great year for Hispanic church planting in the Northwest. We have begun discussions and planning to launch four new churches in the next year. These would be in Salem and Hillsboro in the state of Oregon and Vancouver and Tacoma in Washington state.

Pastor Antonio Lopez, our Northwest Field Coordinator, will be responsible for the development of these new churches and the ongoing training of their leaders. He has been serving as interim pastor at Vivos en Cristo in Southeast Portland. They are a ministry of Trinity Fellowship and in the last six weeks he has taken them from 35 people to over 75 and have four new candidates for baptism!

All four of these cities have substantial populations of Hispanics and they are very receptive to the Gospel. Each of these new churches ideally will be hosted by an existing English speaking congregation. Lord willing, these will be partnerships that bear much fruit for the kingdom of God!
