New Hispanic Church Launched in Canada

New Hispanic Ministry receives prayer at South Calgary Community Church, Canada.

Antonio Lopez recently relocated to Calgary Canada to represent Hispanics for Christ in the region. He is serving on staff at South Calgary Community Church as the Pastor of their Hispanic ministry. This is in addition to SCCC’s Brazilian, Russian and English ministries they have!

In the last month, Antonio not only launched three home groups meeting around the city but last week the church launched the Hispanic worship service on Sundays. SCCC started this new ministry off with prayer and their blessing. There were about thirty people at this first service. A great start for what we hope is a movement of new Hispanic churches and leaders throughout Alberta. In Canada 1.2% of the population speaks Spanish and Calgary has over 13,000 Hispanics living in a city of 1 million. Thee are Hispanics across Canada, especially in the larger urban centers.
