New Opportunities in Baja California

By February 14, 2013August 26th, 2018No Comments

Recently Paco Damian, our Field Coordinator in Central Mexico, visited a long time pastor friend in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico. Gonzalo Gonzalez served the Lord in Portland, Oregon for several years before returning to Mexico where he has continued to lead people to Christ in Rosarito and Tijuana. His wife, three daughters and son-in-law all help with the ministry. Gonzalo has served bi-vocational for years in very difficult financial circumstances, as jobs are few in Baja. He has been faithful to his calling and continues to see people come to the Lord regularly and he has baptisms several times a year.

We are excited to see some new opportunities developing for this area. Last year Randy Schmor, Director of Gateway Teams, visited Gonzalo to explore the idea of sending STM teams there to support his efforts and Paco Damian has begun exploring the possibility of holding a Pastor’s Retreat there next year, working with the local pastors Gonzalo has developed relationships with. Pray God would bring his resources to bear on this part of Northern Mexico.Paco & Gonzalo
